Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary

The Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary was known after the most celebrated Ornithologist of India, Dr. Salim Ali. This sanctuary reserves and nurtures various species of birds including Mudskipper and Black Drongo within an area of approximately 440 acres. It is situated at a distance of just 6.5 kilometres from the serene capital of Goa, Panaji and is an ultimate paradise for wildlife photographers, bird watchers and all the nature lovers. The sanctuary is lush green with mangrove forests and is governed by the euphonious melodies of birds.

The best time to visit Goa to explore this sweet haven is from October to May.

Dudhsagar Waterfalls

Dudhsagar Waterfalls meaning ‘The Sea of Milk’ is regarded as the fifth largest waterfall in India due to its natural rusticity and enormity. The process of water clashing and descending in and around rocks gives the waterfall its white texture. This water then culminates into a tiny pond which is surrounded by dense forests and wildlife that enhances the vibe in this region.

Located at a distance of 46 kilometres from Madgaon, the Dudhsagar Waterfalls can be visited only after the month of September.

Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount

Indulge in some quality time with yourself or your loved ones with the virtue of spirituality at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount. A church best known for its serene ambience, it is located on the peak of a green hill and is encapsulated with mesmerizing views. Freshwater Lake at Arambol

While the Arambol Beach is getting all the tourist attention, the freshwater lake overlapped by the beach is a must-visit. Tambdi Surla

Tambdi Surla is a temple built back in the 12th century and is dedicated to God Shiva. The entire setting of the temple is made using basalt rock and is embellished with ancient style inscriptions namely Kadamba and Yadava. It lies in the footsteps of the Anmod Ghat and is still open for worship.

Netravali

Chorao Island
