Himachal Pradesh, the Lush Green Land with the Serenity of Snow

Nestled amidst snowy peaks, nature’s spiritual self comes to the fore in Himachal. Enter into Himachal through Kalka- Shimla mountain rail and that journey itself would ordain what is there in store for you further. Known for its scenic beauty and relaxed pace; it’s a joyous ride and you must include this in your itinerary while taking Himachal holiday packages. You reach Shimla, the muse of poets and the surroundings themselves instigate your creative side and poetry would start oozing from you. The summer capital of India during colonial period, Shimla will take you to another tranquil world where having a bit laid back attitude is not a sin. The famed Mall Road with its variety of shops and cafes is the prime attraction in the city. Gaiety Theatre is also on that very road. Just two kilometres from the city is Jakhu Hills, one of the must visit places. It gives you not only the view of the city but also the breathtaking vista of snowcapped mountains. There are other beautiful places, too, nearby Shimla including Summer Hill and Tara Devi Hill.

For trekking lovers, there is Kufri, just a few kilometres from Shimla. It has several beautiful places including Mahasu Peak and Indira Tourist Park. Chail is another place of pristine beauty that must a part of your Himachal tour packages. Chail Sanctuary and the cricket ground are some of the must visit destinations at the place. Dharmshala, the abode of righteousness and certainly it is. The place has the aura that you would feel as if you would tend to take the right path in your life. It is the seat of Tibetan exile government and you can find several monasteries and temples at the place. The Dalai Lama temple, Bhagsunag temple and McLeodganj Market Monastery are some of the important temples to visit at the place.
