It is also the world’s largest photo frame, attracting thousands of tourists to admire the result of limitless human potential and imagination.

Do you wish to learn about the features, location, history, Dubai frame tickets, and more? Well, continue reading, and we bet you will be in for a show! If you also want an enriching experience, grab one of SOTC’s Dubai tour packages and visit the enigmatic Dubai Frame building.

Dubai Frame Location and How to Get There

Photo Frame Dubai is situated at Zabeel Park, located at a distance of 10 km (approximately) from the international airport. You can book a direct cab from the airport or hotel to reach your destination. If you are on a budget, go for a less expensive option—a local bus. You can hop on one at the Al Karama Bus Station. However, it is a 15-minute walk to Dubai Frame from the closest stop.

The most preferred option, however, is the metro station, which is also the cheapest and fastest way to reach Frame Dubai. The closest metro station to the landmark is Al Jafiliya, which is on the Green Line, connecting the Red Line.

Dubai Frame History

The initial idea to picture Frame Dubai was developed in 2013 to enhance the beauty of Zabeel Park. However, the popularity of the frame rose when more than 900 entries were received to establish an out-of-the-box structure in the middle of the park. The construction of the gigantic structure began in 2014, and it was completed in 2018 after the team was convinced that the final product was distinctive and unique in its design and features.

Sheikh Rashid Bin Al Maktoum, UAE’s Vice President and PM inaugurated the frame on January 1, 2018. The structure has been a sight to behold for every passerby.

Dubai Frame Height and Design

The remarkable frame encompasses two towers, which stand at 150 metres each. It has an impressive width of 93 metres and weighs around 990 tonnes. The towers are connected via a 50-metre-long, opaque bridge, whose floor gets clear if you walk on it. You can see the ground below when standing on the bridge!

The monument was designed by Fernando Donis, who earned this opportunity after winning the ThyssenKrupp Elevator International Award in 2019. Fernando is also the brains behind Dubai’s Porsche Design Towers and the Dubai Renaissance Tower.

The concept behind this marvellous piece of architecture is to enhance Dubai’s rich and extravagant culture. The entire building is framed with gold-coloured stainless steel cladding, which pays tribute to Dubai as the City of Gold.

The Dubai Frame is often called a timeless monument because its design provides a view of Old Dubai in the North and New Dubai in the South. In a way, it brings together the past and present!

Dubai Frame Ticket Price

The Dubai frame ticket price is divided into different categories. You can check them out below.

  • Adults – AED 50 (approx. INR 1130).

Inside the Dubai Frame: Features and More

As mentioned earlier, the Dubai Frame is a futuristic time capsule that offers a glimpse into the past, present, and future, showcasing both cultural richness and technological innovation. Here are some features inside the Photo Frame Dubai that you should know about.

1. The Past Dubai Gallery

You shall start the journey through time by entering the Past Dubai Gallery, an amalgamation of jaw-dropping interiors, 3D installations, motions, and sound and music. It is a brilliant way to tell the story of a city that started as a fishing industry and rose to become one of the richest countries in the world.

2. The Sky Deck

The next best thing to focus all your attention on is the stunning Sky Deck, which brings you to present-day Dubai. It brings you an immersive experience with augmented reality screens, giving you a virtual tour of modern Dubai. You can even pause the screen and ask questions, if any. The level is full of visual tours as well as views of Dubai.

3. The Glass Elevator

The highlight of the tour is usually the glass elevator that offers panoramic views of the cityscapes and takes you up to 48 hours in 75 seconds! Go to the top to soak in some breathtaking views of Dubai; some cannot be described in words. You will have to see them to understand how beautiful this city is!

With this elevator, you can witness the scenes of downtown Dubai from the south, along with famous structures like the Burj Khalifa and Emirates Tower. The skyline during the evening is to die for, as witnessed from the top tower. You can soak in the city’s traditional side from the north, as Deira, Karama, and Umm Harare low rises along with Dubai Creek are visible, making you fall in love with this charming corner of the world.

4. Future Dubai Gallery

After spending some time in the past and present, the iconic Dubai Frame will take you into the future via its Future Gallery. It is a virtual tour of how the city might look 50 years from today. The tour takes place with the help of reality technology and interactive projections.

5. The Glass Bridge Walk

You cannot miss the famous Glass Bridge Walk while touring the Dubai Frame, as it is both an adventurous and memorable experience. The first-of-its-kind walk in the city, this bridge connects the two towers and is opaque when you look at it. However, the minute you step foot on it, the floor turns transparent, giving you a clear view of the ground. You can witness the beauty of Zabeel Park while walking on it.

It might seem scary but be assured that the floor glass is crack-proof and won’t break. So, take a deep breath and take that first step!

6. The Vortex

One of the best features of the Dubai Frame picture is the vortex, a simulation that takes you 50 years into the future. It is a sort of time warp and is thus named a vortex. The unique light and sound at the tunnel is another highlight that will trick your brain into believing that you truly are in the year 2060.

There are flying cabs and moving buildings with special effects that give you the impression of living in the future. Some of us wouldn’t want to return to the present after witnessing the Star Trek vibes from the future.

While the above are a few reasons to visit the frame, there are many other qualities to discover while touring the structure. We’ll leave that for you to find once you book SOTC’s Dubai tour packages.

Dubai Frame Timings

The structure is open throughout the year, even on public holidays, unless otherwise mentioned. However, you must check the opening hours on their official website before booking the tickets.
