The dramatic landscape of the Hajar mountains features deep canyons, eroded rocky cliffs and warped ridges at every turn. It is a fantastic location for a day out or a mountain picnic with your friends and family. The tranquilly of the rugged terrain is the perfect antidote for the hustle and bustle of the cities. People from cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi flock to Ras Al Khaimah for a quiet getaway.

The surreal terrain makes it a mecca for adventure activities like mountain biking, rock climbing and hiking. Jebel Jais is the place to be if you are craving an adrenaline rush at Ras Al Khaimah. Jebel Jais features a fantastic Viewing Deck Park which offers stunning views of the mountain valleys of the Hajar mountain range. The thrilling climb through the Via Ferrata offers stunning views of the valley as you will be about 400 feet above sea level. Alternatively, you can also climb up the Jebel Jais with cars. Emiratis hire cars such as Lamborghini, Ferrari or Land Rover that can weave effortlessly through the hairpin bends of the mountain roads. Hardcore adrenaline junkies can try out the Jebel Jais Flight which holds the Guinness World Record for being the world’s longest zip line at 2.8km.
