The Golconda Fort nestles in the western region of Hyderabad and is of great historical importance. The entire setting is a visual treat and its circumference expands for over three miles, that is, five kilometres. One can see masonry block walls arranged in concentric circles. The fort also comprises of Qutb Shahi tombs, palaces and mosques. One of the major tourist attractions is the fact that the Golconda Fort is well-known for real diamonds extracted from nearby hills, the Kohinoor diamond being one among them.

Built in 1591 CE, the Charminar is an epitome of Islamic architectural excellence and grandeur achieved by the fine use of granite and lime-mortar. “Char” means four and “minar” means towers. One of the most recognised and visited monuments of India; Charminar is situated in the heart of old Hyderabad. Four grand arches are its entrances that open up into four different streets, one being the mesmerizing Laad Bazaar which is an overwhelming sight after the sun sets. The monument overlooks the Musi River and the Makka Masjid.

The Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad is the third largest museum in the country. Renowned across borders, this museum provides its visitors with immense information about various cultures through the virtue of art.
