Dalhousie is a very popular hill station which falls under Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. Your Himachal trip cannot be complete without a visit to this natural beauty, situated on the western edge of the Dhauladhar range of Himalayas amidst five hills.
If you ask any avid traveller about how to reach Dalhousie, the most popular way suggested by them would be by road. Dalhousie is well connected with the major cities by road and regular buses ply on these routes connecting the town with Delhi, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Shimla and Manali. You can also hire a private taxi or choose to drive on their own, and enjoy the lush greenery and spellbinding views of the hills en route.
Dalhousie does not have train and air connectivity. Still, for people short of time, most Dalhousie tour packages provide flight booking facility up to Dharamshala (Gaggal Airport) or Jammu (Satwari Airport), which is located at distances of 46kms and 106kms respectively from Dalhousie.
Dalhousie does not have a train station of its own and the nearest station is Madhopur in Punjab, at a distance of 41kms from Dalhousie, followed by Pathankot at a distance of 44kms. Bus and taxi services are easily available from these places to take you to Dalhousie.
