Tanah Lot Temple: The ‘rock formation’ pilgrimage temple is one of the famous tourist attractions of Bali. Located 20 km from Denpasar, the temple is among the seven sea temples that have been built along the coast. Another temple in the Tanah Lot area- PuraBatuBolong is a must-visit temple in this region.
Uluwatu Temple: This Balinese temple is one of the most popular temples in the region and is a major tourist attraction that is built on the edge of the70-meter high cliff of a rock projecting into the sea.
Bias Tugal Beach: One of the hidden beaches of Bali, you have to take a 500m trek down a rocky road to access this pristine white sand beach.
Bali Museum: This museum of art and history is located in Denpasar. The museum was constructed in 1931 on the site of a former royal palace that was burnt during the Dutch intervention in Bali. Many ancient artefacts are stored in the museum along with the insights of their historical origin.
Goa Gajah: This famous elephant cave was built in the ninth century and is added to the world heritage list (tentative) by the UNESCO. The site consists of bathing pools, rock wall carvings, meditational caves and courtyard with abundant historical artefacts. The cave which was primarily built for meditation has many structures that reveal Hindu cultural influence from back in 10th century.
