If you listen closely enough you can hear the echoes of Punjab’s glorious history at the Gobindgarh Fort. Every wall and every stone here have stories to tell. Originally built by Gujjar Singh Bhangi in 1760, it was later modified by Maharaja Ranjit Singh around 1809. The later modifications were inspired by French architecture which added a dash of flavour to the fort’s original design. The fort’s Toshakhana, which now houses the museum, was once used to store the magnificent Kohinoor diamond!
Inside the fort, you can enjoy traditional shows and camel rides throughout the day. The evenings are reserved for the 7D laser show which brings history to life.
