Whether you have one day or one week, Las Ramblas is one of the Barcelona tourist places that you simply cannot miss. It is the central street of the city, and known for the trees that line its entirety from Plaça de Catalunya to the Christopher Columbus Monument at Port Vell. Las Ramblas is usually very crowded from morning until night, filled with eager tourists who are keen to shop at the souvenir stores, dine at the local restaurants and cafes, and enjoy entertainment provided by the many street performers who work there. The famous food market, La Boqueria, is located off Las Ramblas and is another must-do in the city.
