Summer brings with it a warm breeze and long days on the beach. In Cape Town, it also marks the arrival of the annual Summer Soiree in Stellenbosch streets. Usually held in the second half of January, the soiree features some of the best street food and wine that the city has to offer.
Or you could hold off until March when Cape Town hosts the single largest music festival on the continent — the Cape Town International Jazz Festival. Known fondly as “Africa’s Grandest Gathering”, the festival features some of the best traditional musicians from South Africa, as well as mainstream artists from across the world.
