This is the highest peak in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Evergreen rainforests cover the entire mountain right up to its peak, rich with exotic birds and insects, rare blooms and wild fruit. A trek up this mountain is steep and long, but adventurous tourists stock up on trekking gear and make the climb with enthusiasm, as Saddle Peak offers an unmatched bird’s eye-view of the islands. Besides, the only river in the islands, Kalpong river, flows through the forest covering Saddle Peak, a charming sight and also a source of fresh spring water.
