One of the amazing things to do in Jaipur is to go on a safari in the Jhalana Leopard Conservation Reserve. This sanctuary is located in the middle of the city and is home to a number of animals apart from the eponymous leopards which you will spot sometimes as soon as you enter the sanctuary. This used to be the hunting grounds for the royals but now the animals enjoy their protected status and you can go on an open-air gypsy ride and see spotted deer, blue bulls, rhesus macaque, mongoose, desert gerbils, striped hyena and sambhar deer.
