The Thumb or Le Pouce is named so because its peak looks like a human thumb. If you are fit, this should be on your Mauritius sightseeing list. It is about a 2-hour hike and the hilltop is just wide enough to picnic on. From here, treat yourself to views of vessels going in and out of the harbour and pretty much all of Mauritius.
