- The best time to visit Ladakh during the months of April to June when the sun is high. You will still be greeted by the sight of snow and the weather is pleasant here. If you find yourself in Ladakh during the monsoon, you need to be careful of landslides. Winters here are extreme and generally not a good time to visit Ladakh.
- Ladakh is every photographer's dream destination. The mountains are the perfect backdrop to the lakes that glisten in the sun. Be it the Zanskar Lake or Tso Moriri or Pangong Lake; each lake has something special.
- No matter what you are looking for, the monasteries and stupas will give a sense of peace and tranquillity. A stop to at least one of the famous stupas and monasteries should be on your list.
- You should also make a trip to Khardungla Pass, which is the highest motorable road in the world and is maintained by the Border Roads Organization. Then there is a Magnetic hill, where your vehicle can move uphill, without a driver!
