One of the seven emirates in the UAE, Dubai is a modern and progressive emirate that is developing at a spectacular pace. Most business or leisure travellers choose to fly into this gateway of Middle East. If you too are flying into the city, chances are that you will be arriving at the Dubai International Airport.
One can travel into the city using the Sharjah International Airport that is in the nearby emirate or the Abu Dhabi International Airport close to Abu Dhabi. Most airlines have excellent connectivity to Dubai and flying from India does not take much time.
If you are entering Dubai from any of the other six emirates of the UAE, you can take also take a bus. In addition to this, Dubai’s only international board by road is with Oman, allowing expatriate residents to arrive into the city as long as they have an official permit by Oman. Visitors do not require this permit and there is as OMR 3.000 charge per vehicle that is exiting Oman.
