Traveling in and around Dalhousie
Explore the town at your pace in your style. Once you drop anchor at the hotel, it is a good idea to step out and do a quick research on the local transport options. Unlike other hill-stations, there are no auto rickshaws in Dalhousie. You will need to hire a taxi for local sightseeing. You can use them to travel short distances or book them for the day.
For short distances you can try the local buses of Himachal Roadways, horse carriages, motorcycle taxis and pony rides. However, as everything is quite close by, walking is still the best way to commute within the town limits.
