Despite its hip and urban vibe with its soaring skyscrapers and shopping malls, Central is still Cantonese at heart and there are neon-lit signs in Chinese that affirm this. Central is truly one of the top Hong Kong tourist places for the number of amazing options it has. The buildings here tower over, each competing with the other to reach the skies, whether it is the IFC (International Finance Centre) or the HSBC and Bank of China buildings. But Central is also where you need to come if you want to visit Victoria Peak with its excellent views of Kowloon which is on the other side, along with Harbour Bay and Hong Kong.
The Peak as it is known is one of the top-most tourist attractions in Hong Kong for the views, the 3D trick eye art gallery and Madame Tussauds wax works. If you’re looking for some exciting nightlife, Lan Kwai Fong with its numerous bars and clubs is an excellent place to visit. However, to truly get a sense of Hong Kong, you must take the Star Ferry to crossover to Kowloon. This five-minute journey is an experience in itself and is certainly one of the exciting places to visit in Hong Kong.
