One of the most interesting places to go in Ireland is Blarney Castle in Cork. Nearly 600 years old, this medieval fortress which is now nearly ruined, is very popular for the Blarney stone, the limestone block that is reputed to give the ‘gift of the gab’ to anyone who kisses it.
