There’s a beautiful holiday destination waiting to welcome you with open arms. Norway sits in the heart of Scandinavia, abundant with nature, culture and some of the earth’s most spectacular sights. All that’s left is figuring out the best way of how to reach Norway. Being as it is so far away from home, the only logical option is to fly to Norway. The international airport in Oslo is the country’s main point of entry for foreign visitors and makes for a great first stop on your adventure. An important thing to note is that there aren’t any direct flights between India and Norway and you’ll most definitely have a stop-over at either one of the Middle East countries or European ones. But you do have a variety of airlines to choose from, be it Emirates, Air India, Lufthansa or SAS flights — that you can take from all the major cities like Mumbai, New Delhi or Kolkata. Many smaller Norwegian cities like Stavanger, Bergen or Trondheim also have international airports but because of their size, the frequency of arrivals is much lower.
The only way you could take the railways or road to Norway is if you’re arriving from one of the neighbouring European States. Once again, the main international train terminal is in the capital Oslo, coming in from Denmark, Sweden and sometimes Germany. If you’re driving, it would have to be from Finland or Sweden taking any of the international highways.
It is easy to reach Norway by Sea. Russia, Sweden, Denmark even the UK — they all have regular ferry services from their local ports into Norway.
