One of the most interesting places to see in Pattaya, if you are fond of architecture, is the Sanctuary of Truth. Built entirely out of intricately carved wood, this sanctuary depicts the cycle of life and the pursuit of spirituality.
The interesting fact is that it is neither a temple nor a palace and is not connected to any religion. Some of the carvings in the Sanctuary of Truth are elephants, mythological creatures, deities and even people. Since the wood has not been treated, several parts of the sanctuary have withered and rotted away and need to be replaced, thereby making the construction a constantly ongoing activity.
