Weather Conditions in Sentosa
Singapore has an island of its own, reserved just for having a good time — Sentosa. But is there really a best time to visit Sentosa? With tropical climate all year long, weather isn’t as much of a deciding factor as is say, the holiday season or accommodation prices.
The Peak Season
If you’re one who enjoys the peak season, then the best time to visit Sentosa Island is between the months June and July or December to March. For that is when schools around the region are closed and many families and tourists make their way to Sentosa for some holiday fun. The end of the year is however, the rainiest time of the year in Singapore so do remember to carry some rain appropriate clothing and accessories. November is said to be one of the least crowded months, so perhaps that is the best time to visit Sentosa Island if you’re one who enjoys a less-packed destination.
If you wish to experience the thrills at Universal Studios without having to wait in long queues, then no matter the season, the best time to go to Sentosa Island is on a weekday. Weekends tend to see more traffic with locals joining up with the tourists to let loose for some adventure.
January
For sights like the SEA Aquarium, Sentosa Merlion and Adventure Cove Water Park, January is considered a great time of the year. The beaches are also a treat around this time, with the days offering perfect temperatures for a cooling dip or maybe just a cooling sip of your favourite beach beverage.
February and March
In February and March, the Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom is in full bloom and bustling with critter activity, while excursions to Fort Siloso, Dolphin Island and the Megazip Adventure Park are all delightfully pleasant. Of course, the peak season that follows is when you can do almost all things the island has to offer without worrying about anything other than making it to the front of the lines! The Skyline Luge, Kidzania and other activities are good all-year-round.
October and November
During the least crowded times of October and November, is when you can best enjoy offbeat experiences like the Combat Skirmish Live or Tall Ship Adventures. Even just a day on the golf greens at Sentosa Golf Club seem more enjoyable when you seemingly have the course to yourself.
All in all, Sentosa Island trip is like a year-round retreat for families, couples or friends. Whatever time you choose to visit, you can be sure that your time will be full of leisure, relaxation, adrenaline and a liveliness that’s exclusive to the experience. Book yourself a Singapore package from SOTC and explore the island of fun and good times.
