With the amazing palaces and beautiful monuments to see and visit, summer is not typically the best time to visit Mysore. Winter is the best time to visit Mysore. The temperature can go down up to 15 °C and it is extremely cool and pleasant. This is the best time to explore the city, visit the various monuments and enjoy the sights. Since winter in Mysore lasts from October to March, it’s a great time to be in the city to enjoy visiting the various temples and forts. The best part is that Dasara and Diwali also fall during this time and as a result, the city is lit up beautifully. Dasara is indeed a celebration that should be witnessed in Mysore to see the grandeur and opulence. But do note that this a popular time to visit the city and hotels won’t be easily available.
